Just Drivin' Around

Chris had the afternoon off, so we spent a little family time at the mall and then napped...well, Hadley and Chris did at least.

3 Months going on 4!

Hadley is progressing and growing so much each week. Just a few days ago she rolled from her stomach to her back. She absolutely hates tummy time! We still haven't gotten a big giggle out of her yet even though she acts like she is going to do it any moment. She loves to watch me choreograph and teach dance to the girls out at the high school. We just started introducing rice cereal to her and she still doesn't know quite what to do with it. She loves to take naps with Mom and really loves to suck on her hands even though I am trying to get her to not do that. She hates when I wipe her face and doesn't really like taking a bottle. Our favorite thing that she does recently is open her mouth super big when we get close to her because she wants to eat our nose.

People weren't kidding when they say that they grow too fast. She will be 4 months on Sunday even though she still doesn't fit into some of her 3 month clothes yet. We finally stopped swaddling her and put her in her crib for the whole night. She wakes up quite a bit, but we hope she quickly will catch on to her sleeping schedule and be able to sleep through the whole night. She still isn't the best eater, but she is gaining weight and I know she is getting what she needs. Chris and I become more obsessed with her everyday. It is so fun to watch her develop, grow, and learn new skills. We love the fact that she can grab her toys now and tries to eat them. She has been doing this thing lately where she leans forward to try and eat/suck on something instead of bringing it to her mouth. She loves her little light up mirror in the car and loves to go for walks in the stroller. She is quite the squirmer and sometimes it is hard to get her to hold still and relax when it's time for bed. Other than each other, we truly didn't know we could love someone so much!
She loves this toy that we put above her carseat. She fell asleep holding it when we went for a walk one time. She also pulled it during the prayer in Relief Society and it played music the whole time.

After church wearing one my favorite dresses even though it is still too big for her.

We put her in the Bumbo a lot these days. She loves to watch what we're doing.
She is so adorable when she sleeps

That smile gets us every time!
We take our fair share of naps together.

First time eating rice cereal....not much went in as you can see.

3 Months and RSV

Hadley is 3 months now! She is about 12 pounds and smiles all the time. We have only gotten a few little laughs here and there, but we can tell that she is so close to getting a good giggle out. Her eyes are definitely blue (take that Grandma Giauque), she has started to grab on to her toys, and she loves to kick in the tub. We are still working on rolling to the side, actually playing with the toys, and nursing better. She really is a terrible eater. A few weeks ago, Hadley got RSV and we had to take her to the ER. Luckily she only had a mild case and they didn't have to admit her to the hospital, but the recovery process is not fun. We had to miss my Grandpa's funeral and a girls trip to St. George. She finally has stopped coughing and she is doing much better. Just my luck, she will be sick right when all my sisters get here in a week. Other than that little setback, she is a happy little thing. We love spending time with her, and we both make complete fools of ourselves when we talk to her....whatever makes her smile.
(Pictures are all within the last three months)
Sometimes we need to entertain her with Baby Einstein's so we can get ready before heading off to church. This was Chris' idea and I thought it was hilarious.

At the Phoenix Waste Management Golf Tournament
Chris calls her "Pioneer Baby"
Before bath time and one of my favorite pictures yet

She had found an opening in Chris' shirt during church and stayed there for several minutes.
We love the picture of her scowling
Watching basketball with Dad and her blankey
At her first Sun's Basketball game. She was so good and even watched the second half.
Going home from the hospital

On her first airplane ride and she was perfect

Chris' favorite outfit she owns so far

She has to be very tired to fall asleep like this

Every time Tahnee holds Hadley, she falls asleep. I call Tahnee the "Baby Whisperer". She sleeps while we all get together and watch the Bachelor.
